Where tradition meets artistry in every handcrafted piece
What began as a passion for handwritten letters and vintage ephemera has grown into a full-service paper craft studio dedicated to preserving traditional techniques while embracing contemporary design. Founded in the heart of rural Kansas, our studio represents a commitment to slow craftsmanship in an increasingly digital world.
We believe that paper carries memory and emotion in ways that digital communication cannot replicate. Every greeting card delivered by hand, every invitation opened with anticipation, every thank you note cherished for years creates connections that transcend the momentary. This belief guides everything we create.
Our studio workspace reflects the principles of wabi-sabi, finding beauty in imperfection and authenticity. Natural light floods through large windows onto worktables organized with calligraphy pens, watercolor palettes, and carefully curated paper stocks. Each day begins with gratitude for the opportunity to craft objects that will mark life's most meaningful celebrations.
Master Calligrapher & Studio Founder
Sarah's journey into calligraphy began with her grandmother's collection of vintage love letters, sparking a lifelong fascination with the art of beautiful writing. After studying under master penmen and completing intensive workshops in traditional scripts, she established the studio to share this disappearing art form with modern audiences.
Her work has been featured in prominent wedding publications and she regularly teaches calligraphy workshops throughout the Midwest. Sarah specializes in Copperplate and Spencerian scripts, bringing elegant flourishes to every envelope and invitation she letters.
Watercolor Illustrator & Designer
Emma brings a background in fine arts and botanical illustration to her stationery work. Her watercolor paintings capture the delicate beauty of natural subjects with loose, expressive brushwork that adds organic movement to paper goods.
She collaborates closely with clients to develop custom illustrations that reflect their personal stories, whether painting a beloved family home for wedding invitations or creating floral motifs inspired by a bride's bouquet. Her work balances technical precision with artistic spontaneity.
We embrace the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, finding beauty in imperfection, impermanence, and incompleteness. Each handcrafted piece carries subtle variations that make it unique, celebrating the human touch rather than seeking machine-perfect uniformity.
Every piece receives unhurried attention, allowing the craft process to unfold naturally without rushing toward completion
We source sustainable papers, plant-based inks, and eco-friendly materials that honor the earth
Our aesthetic transcends trends, creating heirloom pieces that will be treasured across generations
